This session will feature the presentation of two projects that have successfully used data in a critical way, both in fisheries. One uses block chain technology for export certification of fisheries, an asset of major significance to Seychelles, in order to meet the consumer’s requirements for transparency, accountability, good governance and sustainability in fisheries from production to consumption. The other project discusses how it has leveraged data to produce outcomes that have had an impact on national policy. After the presentations there will be an opportunity for questions, comments and answers.
